Save PBS!
Let’s be real, the recently proposed cuts to public media (amongst many other important things) are completely needless and purely political, and extremely detrimental to our country. To say that PBS is important to American life, academics and culture is an understatement. It is a resource that millions rely on for trusted news, educational content, and emergency alerts. I could go on, but I think Mr. Rogers said it best when he defended the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in front of the Senate Subcommittee on Communications, when its federal funding was facing major cuts 56 years ago:
The proposed federal funding cuts we’re facing now could devastate PBS and its 1,500+ local stations. In response to this, Mike Horn, of Seawind of Battery, united a stunning array of incredible artists, many of whom are RCU regulars, to band together on Save The Waves, a benefit album for PBS.

Some of the most creative and well-respected names within the eclectic folk rock and ambient folk music community, including folks like Joseph Allred, Bill MacKay, Prairiewolf and Elkhorn, donated recent, rare or unreleased recordings to defend the truth, education and universal access that is at stake here.
