Mark your calendars! We are very excited to co-present with Prototype 237 The Early and Emily Robb with Bent Light (Michael Slyne) and Amanmademadman PLUS an after party with Big Acid on May 30th at 7pm. Tickets are $20 and can be found here.
*No one turned away for lack of funds. Please email Prototype 237 if ticket cost is prohibitive.
Emily Robb is a visionary composer, performer and studio musician based in Philadelphia. She’s been wowing audiences in both the Montreal and Philly undergrounds as guitarist, bassist, vocalist and drummer in several bands including Louie Louie, Lantern and Astute Palate. Robb’s also been recording and performing adventurous experimental solo guitar works under her own name since 2019, and often collaborates with other likeminded artists, including Kryssi B, Bill Orcutt, and Bill Nace, to name just a few.
The Early is Alex Lewis (guitars and synthesizers) and Jake Nussbaum (drums and electronics), a duo based in Philly & Chicago, with origins in Montclair. The pair blends the elemental textures of post-rock with the conversational telepathy of jazz improvisation, and the stoic grooves of minimalism into something wholly original and electrifying.
