It’s Been a long time

“Life is what happens to when you’re busy making other plans”

I feel like this happens a lot to me recently, but my apologies for being absent lately. In the last bunch of months, I’ve had a new full time job, moved to a new apartment in a new town (as seen above), the whirlwind that is the holidays blew through and many other such events have occurred, taking me away from my dearly beloved blog.

I’m going to try to keep this thing updated much more often now that the dust is beginning to settle here.

In the time that I’ve been away, I’ve found that one of my blog posts was plagiarized and I still have yet to get a response from those who did it (all I want is to be cited, that’s all). If the website that did said plagiorization still has the lifted paragraph up, I’ll post it here.

Also in recent news, I’ve had several reviews published through Elmore Magazine. These would include pieces on Judy Dyble, Pantaleimon, Nobunny, Marissa Nadler and The Avett Brothers, which made it to the head review of that issue (see below).Image

I’ve also acquired quite the stash of new (well, new to me) records, CDs and tapes recently. What seems to stand out the most to me now would include stuff by Boys of the Lough, Miracle Legion, Gordon Bok, The For Tom Carter benefit compilation (as well as several other great pieces from Deserted Village), Mono’s new album, etc.

So hopefully I’ll get some new reviews up soon. Thanks for still following me for those who have been. Here’s to a good rest of 2014!
