I’ve been totally blown away by Tashaki Miyaki’s latest album, The Dream. Fittingly titled, the album is an atmospheric, gorgeous dream-pop masterpiece that is as refreshing and lush as the spring weather that it was debuted in. Punky, howling guitar work blend seamlessly into beds of strings, keyboards and TM’s hauntingly beautiful, multilayered harmonies. This is the kind of music that makes you feel like you are pleasantly floating through a sparkling ocean full of light.
