The Blind Owls – Something About That Girl

Trace 1 Alternate Colors

With their latest single, “Something About That Girl,” The Blind Owls are more explosive than ever.

This Texan group are known for being one of the most raw and incandescent acts in modern garage rock, but they blaze through this track at breakneck speed and with a rabid fury.

Right from the start, guitars rev up like Harleys while relentless machine gun drumming and howling maniac vocals propel the song forward with the energy of a nuclear rocket. The power that’s packed into the track’s two minutes and twenty seconds is so wild and so carnal, it’s impossible to hear it without feeling its savagery begin to take control.

If you took the frenzied sensuality of The Cramps, the acid snarl of The Chocolate Watchband and The Seeds and the brawling intensity of The Sonics and Link Wray, then you’d have the psychedelic rave-up that is “Something About That Girl.”

Check out this incendiary single when it comes out Friday to all streaming platforms, such as Apple Music, Google Play and Spotify.
