Video Premiere: “TV Screens,” by Mirage

We are very honored to premiere the new gonzo video for “TV Screens,” a totally fuzzed-up rampageous rocker from Mirage’s Telepathic Radio album. Centripetal Force and Cardinal Fuzz Records have announced today that they’ve teamed up once again to give this psychedelic gem its first vinyl release on March 11th. Preorders for this very limited pressing start right now!

The music video is as wild and unpredictable as the track itself, mixing in bonkers animation and clips of things like Carl Sagan’s Cosmos with glitchy tripped out footage of Mirage (AKA Rocco Freedman) himself. Check it out below:

Having previously been in the acid punk band, Banshee, Freedman is no stranger to fried cosmic bangers. Yet, as Mirage, he excels at letting his freak flag fly. On this record, he sculpts together multiple layers of percussion, keys and guitar overdubs with a barrage of countless TV and movie samples.

Inspired heavily by both the beauty and the madness-inducing qualities of his current Mojave Desert surroundings, Freedman’s latest musical offerings are intensely dreamlike and rock with a manic adrenaline rush. Putting this record on is like ingesting three tabs of Orange Sunshine and flipping through the channels while a rabid King Tuff is having a battle of the bands with Agitation Free in the next room. In other words, it’s a very one of a kind listen that you need to experience.

With only 250 vinyl copies available, you need to preorder your copy now. Click here to secure yours if you’re in the US, and here if you’re one of our UK/EU readers.
