It’s that time once again, folks. It’s another Bandcamp Friday! Please be sure to help support your favorite independent artists and labels as much as you’re able to while Bandcamp waives their fees.

As per usual, I have many recommendations and have received several albums in my inbox that are out or being announced today, so here’s just a little list of releases that I think you shouldn’t pass up:

Golden Feelings – Better Weather

This is cosmic ambience that will make you melt into star jelly. Throw this on, close your eyes, and let yourself drift away to Golden Feelings’ sprawling keyboard oceans. If minimalist Popul Vuh-like spiritual vibes are what you search for in your space music, then this is the record for you.

JM Hart – So Below

Cosmic Americana purveyor and host of the great Brokedown Podcast, JM Hart announced his return today with a full-length LP and a bonus remix album that’ll satisfy all of the good rootsy heads out there. With heavy friends like Ryan Jewell in toe, Hart lands into some richly heady zones and folk-inspired soulfulness that you can feel deep in your bones. Preorder it ahead of its 10/6 drop date.

Seawind of Battery & ragenap – Chaos Life Preserver

A match made in kosmische musik heaven, NJ’s own Seawind of Battery jams at long last with Chicago’s great ragenap, and the results are just as mind-blowing as you’d expect. Galactic guitar meditations and hazy introspective dronescapes? Yes please! Preorder this tape from Eiderdown Records before it drops on 9/26.

Sarah Louise – Cactus Flower

Sarah Louise is behind some of the most psychedelic records of the last decade, and this new single is quite reflective of that. The two versions of “Cactus Flower” are each gorgeously elemental sound baths that feel intrinsically tied to the spirits and energies of the natural world. This is the kind of music you put on when you’re stargazing far from the reach of city lights and cell service. Pick it up digitally or on CD with one of Louise’s hand-painted pieces of art before they’re gone! (a limited edition of 10!!)

Ananya Ganesh – Precis-Loving

Recently announced on Worried Songs, Ananya Ganesh’s Precis-Loving is a truly one of a kind record. What you hear on this album is the Madras-based artist improvising on piano with wandering vocalizations, sliding easily between free jazz, neo-classical and tone poems. What Wendy Eisenberg is to guitar, Ganesh is to piano. You can preorder this one now before its 9/29 release.

Indianna Hale – Yesterday’s Glitter

Sometimes all you need is a soothing dream pop record with tasty ear candy and Velvet Underground-like coolness to set you right. That’s what Indianna Hale’s latest LP is for. Yesterday’s Glitter is rich with enticing hooks and melodies that you’ll be humming all day long. A record this smooth will surely cure what ails ya. Pick it up today.
