Centripetal Force and UK label WIAIWYA announced this week the third LP by pastoral cosmic ambient trio, Numün.

Available January 29 in the new year, with preorders starting now, this album, Opening, finds the trio of Joel Mellin, Christopher Romero (Gamelan Dharma Swara)
and Bob Holmes (SUSS, Rubber Rodeo) continuing to blend western and eastern influences together into spacious environmental music, along with the help of Victoria Lo Mellin (Dharma Swara) on flute and bass flute and Willa Roberts (Black Sea Hotel) on violin and vocals.

On this album, Numün creates a vibe that is unmistakably like if Popol Vuh or Tangerine Dream shacked up with expansive Americana artists like William Tyler or North Americans. Just for a little taste of that combination, check out the record’s beautifully mellow title cut:
