New Jersey’s Camino Sound have long been favorites in the RCU household, but Remembers Everything is one of their biggest crowning achievements as a band yet.

The trio, made up of Van Kapeghian on guitar, Keith Allen on bass and Sean Byrne behind the drum kit, takes their transportive instrumental jams deeper into the cosmos here. Right from the opening number, “Remember Anything,” the band launches into a whirlwind of deeply atmospheric space rock, sounding somewhere between the stellar guitar workouts of Garcia Peoples and the astral ambiance of someone like Spiritualized.

With ear-catching melodies that glide with a stoned ease, tight musicianship and a glossy production job rich with psychedelic effects, this is an EP that can hypnotize you while still showing off the band’s major cohesive strengths. Tracks like “Nokomis3” ebb and flow like the tempestuous tides of an unpredictable sea of stars and nebulae, with the band locked in so intensely, it’s hard to tell if they’re improvising or not.

Fans of The Royal Arctic Institute, Mushroom and even the good ol’ Grateful Dead will surely love this one. Get your copy on this fine Bandcamp Friday today.
