I only now found out that this took place. I just am in disbelief that the people over at Saturday Night Live would have booked someone as against the grain as Captain Beefheart as a musical guest, but I am also impressed at the same time. 

I can’t seem to find video of these performances online, but I was able to at least find the audio on youtube. I’m sure it’ll appear sometime, but as for now, I am just loving these versions of “Hot Head” and “Ash Tray Heart.”
