Seeing that it’s Bandcamp Friday again, I just wanted to take this time to highlight a few new releases from one of the best ambient labels today—Aural Canyon.

At trying times like these, it’s important, and possibly even essential, to have entities like AC that focus on bringing healing, soothing sounds to the world.

With that in mind, here are three new AC releases that I’ve been relaxing to recently:

Lake Mary & Pinyonpine – It’s okay, you can Open your Eyes Now

It’s no surprise that I’m a big fan of Lake Mary, A.K.A. Chaz Prymek. Lately, I’ve been using his music as the background soundtrack to the host segments of my webradio show, The Record Crates United Mixtape. Yet, this tape is especially sweet.

Paired with Pinyonpine, A.K.A. Utah filmmaker TJ Nelson, Prymek produced two side-length epic soundbaths full of richly mellow synth tones and dreamy guitar fragments. This is an album you can let yourself drift away into and positively dwell inside of for an extended amount of time. Give it a listen here.

Natural Flavors – Now Zoning

Ambient pedal steel fans will dig this one for sure.

Partially taken from a live event at a park in Austin, Texas, this tape features the trio of Charlie Russell (Rhodes piano and bass Rhodes), Chuck Lander (electric guitar and pedal steel) and Grainger Weston (modular synthesize, live effects and production) bridging the pastoral to the cosmic.

From Pink Floyd-like guitar and keyboard rural soundscapes to glitchy electro-meditations, this is an ambient release that could convert most prog and kosmische fans to the genre. Check it out.

Golden Brown – Kindness

Stefan Beck returns with a deeply tranquil home recorded collection of modal improvisations that coast with a fluid-like freedom and grace.

Utilizing guitar, lap steel, keyboards, and kalimba, Beck leans harder into his more minimal side here. Somehow, the results are even more atmospheric and peaceful than the rest of his already deeply chill discography. With the great audio wizard Andrew Weathers behind the mixing chair, you know you’re in for a remarkably transportive and immersive listen.

Click here to preorder your cassette ahead of its May 19th release.
